Getty 3D Augmented Reality

CBS-VFX chose six Getty antiquities that were laser scanned and rebuilt into photo real 3D models. These statues, vases, and busts were loaded into a custom-built AR app. CBS’s scene shop constructed four custom outdoor booths with museum styled pedestals. The team supplied five iPads so guests could walk around the pedestals and see the 3D objects appear on their device. This hands-on experience gave a close sense of engagement into the ancient past.
